350EL 

This is a basic starter engine for the derby enthusiast.  It consists of a stock 350 bottom end, chosen by Scott, with some modifications. The crank is examined for wear, polished or turned if necessary, and reinstalled with new bearings. The pistons are not removed, so the rings and clearances are loose. We install a new high-volume oil pump, timing chain, freeze plugs, and we add a few secret touches to the entire setup. A new Comp 268 H or Lunati BMII cam is installed with new lifters. A set of our special derby heads (select casting, decked, valve job, new parts as needed) are installed using Felpro gaskets, and a 2 bbl non-egr intake goes on next. The engine is topped with a G.A.S. Rochester 2 bbl and G.A.S. custom distributor. The engine is fired up, broke-in, and timed and tuned. You only need to add your accessories and drop it in your car. For a complete drop-in engine ready to fire (minus your accessories) you can't beat the reliability and response of one of these base engines.
