Engines
Ice Cube
This is the ultimate derby engine. It is the
coolest running gas-powered engine we have built or used. I have so much time
invested in
research and development that I will not even disclose the cubic inches or how
the engine is built. It is completely fresh from top to bottom, puts out 289.6
horsepower @ 4500 rpm, 356.3 ft-lbs of torque (using a 4 bbl intake and carb),
and has a super flat torque curve, producing over 300 ft-lbs from 2100 rpm to
5000 rpm. It uses a hydraulic roller cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, and
additional engine cooling tricks. It runs on pump gas blend fuel, and is fully
balanced. This engine, like our others, comes complete with G.A.S. carb and
distributor and is broke in and ready to run. The feature wins with the original
Ice Cube test engine are approaching a total of 30 in the last 3 years, and the
test engine didn't use the roller valvetrain.
