G.A.S. can supply you with custom steering columns for most any application. We use racing u-joints that are American made. Wheels come standard in 15" black, but can be upgraded to red, blue, or purple for an additional $10. We can ship them fully assembled, but prefer to save on shipping and send them in pieces with only minimal welding required for final installation. Installation is easier with a full dash bar, but can be accomplished for derbies where no dash bar is allowed. The column will not bind up no matter where the front end bends. The shaft will slide back into the interior, so the car can bend at the steering box, firewall, or both, and you won't loose steering due to column bind. Click on photo for larger image. GM columns come with 2 high speed, small diameter U-joints, one with GM splines to mount directly onto the steering box, (not cheesy large diameter agricultural u-joints that don't fit properly), 2 heim ends and jam nuts, 3/4 cold rolled steering shaft, mounting plate, quick release hub and steering wheel.
